Who hates Iowa?
I don’t hate Iowa! I visited my cousin in Cedar Falls this past weekend. It was my first time in the state since I was 10 and toured the bridges of Madison County with my grandma. Let me just say that this visit was infinitely more enjoyable.
Plus, the highways were virtually deserted. It was the perfect setting for driving fast and blaring Muse. I didn’t see a single cop while I was there. And just look at that weather! It was a nice break from growing up in Minneapolis and now in Chicago. Bleh.
Another bonus: the people were all really friendly (with the exception of Dubuque) and the beer was dirt cheap.
Conclusion: I like Iowa. Except Dubuque. That place sucks.
